Infant Teacher possessing a Minimum of a Technical Certificate of Completion

Responsibilities

Provides nurturing care & educational stimulation to infants from 6 weeks to 12 months of age.

• Welcomes each child daily into a warm and stimulating environment.
• Ensures cleanliness of the infant and their environment to include regular diapering and handwashing
• Prepares and provides meals in line with the child’s feeding plan and developmental needs
• Follows a planned schedule of educational and physical activities, including story-telling, reading, exercise, and periods of rest.
• Ensures and monitors the care environment with a focus on safety, cleanliness, and stimulation
• Prepares Daily Care Sheets for each family designed to encourage information to and involvement of the family in the daily care of the infant
• Monitors and encourages the achievement of developmental milestones and shares with the parent as needed and at least semi-annually in a scheduled parent-teacher conference
• Works with the Joshua House ECLC Team to ensure the highest quality early care experience which supports the center’s quality rating and professional goals

Requirements

• High School Graduate or Completion of a GED
• Completion of a Technical Certificate of Completion (TCC)
• Adaptable to a dynamic and ever-evolving environment
• Able to multi-task
• Good communicator
• Capable of meeting parents and children “where they are ”

Preferred Qualifications

• Infant and Toddler Certificate.
• 1 year of Experience

Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
